Groundswell Community Mural Project, recently recognized in the NY Daily News as one of the city’s great organizations, is having its Annual Art Auction Benefit on Wednesday, October 29, 7-10 pm in Chelsea, at Affirmation Arts Gallery (523 W 37th Street, NYC 10011). Tickets at the $100 level buy entry to our special Donor's Preview, 6pm- 7pm. The Preview includes early access to bidding and our special, new "Buy It Now" event (selected artworks can be purchased at set price prior to auction). Tickets are available at the door, or in advance, by contacting: benefit@groundswellmural.org.

Groundswell’s gala benefit will feature a silent auction of the works of more than 60 contemporary artists. Libby Bugbee, from Christie's, will conduct a live auction of selected works. Artists featured include Nicole Cherubini, Elbow Toe, Franklin Evans, Anna Gaskell, Barry McGee, Rigo 23, Alexis Rockman, Dread Scott, Swoon, Massimo Vitali and Hank Willis Thomas.

Products from supporters such as last year's Prada, Kenneth Cole Productions, and Jo Malone will be raffled off the night of the event. Cocktails will be sponsored by Christiania Vodka, wine by Opici, beer by Brooklyn Brewery and food by Sheep Station.

Groundswell's benefit sponsors to date include: Davis, Polk & Wardwell, Goldstein, Hall & Associates, Pomerantz Haudek Block Grossman & Gross LLP, StratREALFoundation, USA, and Susan Ochshorn and Marc I. Gross.

Groundswell is a New York-based nonprofit organization dedicated to using art as a tool for social change by bringing together professional artists, community organizations, and youth to collaboratively create public art projects in communities across the city.  Over the past 12 years, Groundswell has developed partnerships with community-based and educational institutions, serving thousands of youth and community members with whom we have worked to visually transform New York's urban landscape.
