Council Member Brad Lander, and neighborhood art organizations including Arts Gowanus, the Old Stone House, and Groundswell, will host a walking tour of the new Gowanus Public Art series on Sunday, September 20th.
 
The tour will begin at 11 a.m at the Old Stone House and continue to sites throughout Gowanus. 
 
The Gowanus Public Art Series will create new platforms for public art, and new opportunities for artists, while at the same time showcasing what makes Gowanus “Gowanus”: the history, the Canal, the culture of creativity and the diversity of the community.
 
The Gowanus Public Art Series is an important component of the Bridging Gowanus initiative.
