"The Story of Summer 2012" Exhibition

Groundswell's Youth Media Council is a pilot program, launched in line with our 2012 Summer Leadership Institute, which encourages a high level of leadership by developing our apprentice artists' communications and marketing skills. The program trains youth participants to become advocates for their peers, for Groundswell's mission, and for the projects in which they are participating.

This summer a representative from each Summer Leadership Institute project was chosen to document the process of their project from his or her own perspective. These young artists created captivating photos and video, and their final project will be a zine telling "The Story of Summer 2012."

At our closing exhibition celebration, we will display photographs, zine process documents, and video, and distribute the young artists' zine. Please join us for the exhibition and refreshments to celebrate the work of our young people and the ingenuity of our Youth Media Council.
